The Vision Nepal
Vision Nepal is a community based charity set up and administered by A few kind and generous Nepalese, who aspire to give a better life to the people of Phulasi which is a mountain community half way between Kathmandu and Mt Everest.
They support the community at a grass roots level providing help to individual students to further their education, the local School, a women’s group and anyone else they can.
They have been doing a lot of work towards providing permanent fresh water to the whole community but this is very expensive.
Peter Tingle from Wollongong has been working with the charity for several years now and these tours are the next step in the groups dream to offer these gorgeous people some support where it’s needed most.
All Profits from your tour will go directly to the community including a decent amount for your hosts and other community members who look after us while we stay in the Village

Phulasi – Charikot / Kallinchowk
Say your farewells to your hosts and board the jeeps for Charikot, a bustling Centre set on the edge of a mountain.
Here we’ll stop for lunch and possibly overnight.
Our goal is to go to Kallinchowk to overnight but weather conditions will determine our decision, obviously your comfort and safety comes first.
Kallinchowk appears to be a ramshackle frontier settlement but it’s going through a big change. There’s a chairlift, new hotels popping up lots of road construction and activity.
When you see the view from the top of the 3,800m.mountain you’ll understand why.
It’s an important Hindu pilgrimage site and although you will see many visitors chances are you’ll be the only westerners in town or few some others too.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Kallinchowk – Charikot
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Walk, ride the gondola or Jeep up to the Plateau where “it looks like you’re in a plane but you’re allowed to get off”
Head back to the hotel for breakfast before we make our way down the mountain to Charikot.
After checking into our hotel you’ll have the afternoon to explore town, or just find yourself a balcony restaurant and enjoy watching Nepalese daily life.
If it wasn’t possible to get to Kallinchowk on day 10 then we will attempt to get an early start for a day trip to see this incredible place.
Charikot – Kathmandu
Leave the country life behind and drive the 130 km back to Kathmandu.
We’ll follow the river valleys and cross the ranges on this slow but scenic drive.
On arrival to Kathmandu we’ll check into our hotel this time in the vibrant hub of Thamel.
Enjoy a hot shower, a western toilet, a soft bed, a cold beer and a latte… you choose in which order but it’s sure to feel good.
Tonight our farewell dinner will include a taste of traditional Nepalese food, music and dance.
Breakfast lunch and dinner included.
Kathmandu – Home
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey home
We highly recommend an extra night in Thamel Kathmandu so you can wander the lanes, explore the shops and chill in a cafe before you head home.
We can arrange full day or overnight rafting trips to suit all tastes
Why not head to the jungle to see Rhinos, Elephants and Monkeys
Padam can organise this much cheaper than you can
